The School Day

Our school day begins at 8.50am sharp each day, and we stop for lunch at 12.00pm daily. All children are given a morning break at around 10.30am. The school day ends at 3.15pm.

We encourage children to bring a small fruit snack if they wish to eat during the morning break.

We also have a Breakfast Club which enables our children to have a healthy breakfast, along with a supervised playtime in school from 8am each morning. Nursery and School children may attend every day or sporadically as family needs dictate. We do ask that where possible Breakfast Club is booked one week in advance but in the event of an emergency a phone call to school on the previous day will suffice.

Longvernal Afterschool/Holiday Playscheme

Longvernal Afterschool/Holiday Playscheme (LAPS) is in operation every afternoon during term time from 3.15 until 6.00pm and daily during school holidays from 8.30am until 6.00pm. Snacks and refreshments are provided during each session and the children have a wide variety of play opportunities and activities to choose from including construction toys, games, sport, arts and crafts, television/videos and computers. During the holidays off site visits are arranged and specialists are invited in to entertain the children.
