We finally got into the water yesterday when the sharks swam off. We searched the wreck for an hour, but haven't found any treasure yet. But then, as I was swimming around exploring the area, look what I saw!

Oh no... we got up on Sunday morning and began to dive down to the wreck, but something happened that we hadn't bargained on. First, a whole bunch of fish appeared from out of nowhere - the ship's cook shouldn't have thrown the remains of breakfast overboard! Next they were swimming around the boat! Then came the sharks - and finally this huge fellow who looked very hungry indeed. We got out of the water quickly I can tell you!

This is it!!!!! We've found part of the Spanish treasure galleon sunk in 1698!!! At least it could be. It somehow doesn't look quite as old as I was expecting. But we're going to have a good explore to see what is inside - hope I can hold my breath long enough...

Thanks for all your letters and questions!
You asked if anything had happened on Antigua. Well, the best thing was this - whilst we were sailing past the island, this little chap, who had hatched on the beach there, came bobbing around our boat. I invited him along and we've become diving buddies! But I need to call him something... can you think of a good name for him?

We were diving this morning when we suddenly came across this on the sea floor! It's not a rock, but it's been there for a long time - can you see how the pink coral has clung to it? We don't know exactly what it is, but it's definitely not natural. What do you think it could be? What might it mean?

Today we've had our first proper dive, looking for the wreck - a Spanish Galleon that's bursting full of treasure. No luck - we didn't find a thing. But you wouldn't believe how many fish there are round here! You asked me what I'd seen in the sea - well here are some pictures I took with my underwater camera...

Ahoy! We've made good progress since my last entry, and today we'll start looking for the wreck. If you copy and paste our ship's co-ordinates into Google Maps you can see just how far we've sailed from Antigua...

Arrrr... the smell of the briny... the jumping swordfish... the distant islands... the beautiful merbears...
Me and my pirate pals are following the coast of Antigua westwards and getting ready for some adventurous diving...

Ahoy there shipmates!
The journey here took longer than expected and it took a while for us to locate the ship in the open sea!

This week, Fortescue was surprised to receive a message in a bottle from the very same pirates who kidnapped him when he was on his 'Around the World' adventure last summer (some of you may remember that he escaped with the help of a friendly whale!). The message said:
