Our Governors
The role of the Governing Body is to give constructive support to school improvement; to ask pertinent questions of the senior management team in order to check that everything is being done to ensure that pupils receive a good education and to keep well informed about the impact of developments.
The Governing Body has been looking at ways of improving its effectiveness by creating a policy regarding visits to school. There have also been two orientation meetings in which discussions focused on how learning is taking place in the classrooms and the progress pupils make.
Individual governors support the school in various ways including classroom help, practical hands on tasks, assisting with out of school activities, Monday morning coffee sessions and attendance at special events.
The Governing Body is made up of members of the school and wider community including members of the school staff, parents, LEA appointed governors and community governors. The Governors are enthusiastic regarding the focus on outdoor learning and look forward to working with Mrs Richardson and members of staff in further development of the school as a learning community.
