Our School Council
meets on a regular basis to discuss topics
relating to pupils views on what happens at
our school. Pupils at Longvernal have been
elected by their peers to represent the
views of pupils and to help improve our
Achievements this year:
- Pupils have
visited every year group to agree our
values and aims, these were shared with
our Headteacher and are on display at
the front of our school.
LONGVERNAL AIMS AND VALUES
- Through a
cake sale we raised £90 to help
support an eleven month old baby
called Harmonie-Rose Allen from
Foxhill, Bath who is battling a
deadly form of meningitis and is to
lose her arms and legs.
- Have formed
partnerships with Curo Housing. They
have given us a £500 donation to the
school for our Hobbit House Project.
They will be working with us on the
following projects in September
2015: Awareness about Bullying,
behaviours Community spirit and
being a good neighbour.
- We have
worked with Mrs Courtier, our
Headteacher to improve trips across
the school. These include a
residential trip to the Isle of
Wight for Y5 & Y6, Forest
experiences at Rainbow Woods, near
Prior Park for every year group and
a residential trip for Y3 & 4 to
Chelwood camping. KS1 went on an
exciting trip to Glastonbury.
- New sports
equipment including 2 x netball and
4x goal nets. 1 x ladder and 2
swings for the Play Park.

Council have decided that it would
be a good idea to sign up to the
Colgate initiative, not only will
pupils become more informed on the
importance of keeping their teeth
healthy they will receive free
samples from Colgate.
