Kelly Antonowicz
Chair of Governors
I am currently a full time mother to 3 children, 2 of which attend Longvernal. With a background in Psychology, I intend to follow my passion and pursue an MA in Psychotherapy when my youngest child reaches school age. Coming from an international background, I became Chair of Governors to pursue my interest and develop a greater understanding of the educational system in which my children were spending their early years of learning. I am married and apart from family time, my interests include health & fitness, scuba diving, travel and cooking.

Vice Chair of Governors
I am a co-opted governor for Longvernal school. I am a foster carer, lorry driver, leader in a local Church, Ďhome for goodí champion and dad. Over the last few years I have been involved in the head, heart and hands social pedagogy programme which seeks to build life-long relational education in holistic ways and I have a passion for people to develop into their full potential.
In my spare time I speak publicly, read theology and enjoy movies and box sets. I am married to Carly and have two birth children and a foster daughter.
Kerrie Courtier
Headteacher
I am the Head Teacher of the school; I have been in the teaching profession for 16 years having experience of teaching across KS1 and KS2. I was appointed Substantive Head Teacher in December 2014, having been Acting Head Teacher since May 2014.Prior to joining Longvernal I was an Assistant Head Teacher at Weston All Saints Primary School in Bath.
I am married with a 17 year old son and am an avid Bath Rugby Supporter. Other interests outside school include the love of all sports, visits to the theatre, reading and music.

Year 2 Class Teacher
I am currently Year 2 class teacher and have been teaching at Longvernal for nearly 4 years. I am PE and Computing subject leader and also have specific interests in maths and SEN. I have a small holding with cattle and spend lots of my time looking after the animals and other farming related activities. I enjoy all sports and play for Paulton Rovers Netball Club.

Headteacher's PA
I am the Headteacher's PA. I have worked at Longvernal for 12 years. I am married with three adult children (two of whom attended Longvernal). Outside of school I am also an avid Bath Rugby Supporter, and enjoy watching motorcycle racing. Other interests include visits to the theatre.
Leon Lloyd
Parent Governor
I became a parent/governor in July 2015. I am currently employed within the education sector. I bring much experience of Business Development and Service Delivery, which I hope can add value to Longvernal School. Prior to my current role I have worked for a number charitable organisations and healthcare companies.
I have two children at the school and outside of professional life I enjoy exercising, mountain biking, playing golf and making music.
Joscelin Platt

I am a secondary Design Technology and Art teacher. I work at Chew Valley School in Chew Magna and have been a teacher for 10 years, teaching 11 to 19 year olds a variety of subjects including product design, textiles, food, plumbing and painting and decorating. Before that I trained and worked as a theatre designer. I am passionate about education and the arts. I have two children, one is in year two here at Longvernal school and one is currently in year 11.
I enjoy running to relax and as a family we enjoy camping for most of the summer holidays.

I am a full time Mum to 4 children. Amelie is in year 5 at Longvernal and Teddy will be starting in September, my other 2 children attend Somervale school. In my spare time I enjoy looking after our many pets and doing lots of art and crafts. I can often be found in school assisting the children to make a creative mess!
 
Keith Ford
Co-opted Governor
I have spent 20 years in primary teaching with the last 9 in headship across 2 schools most recently of a mainstream school with specialist provision. Across the last 10 years my work has been in schools with significant emotional, social and mental health needs. Inclusion is a key principle of my practice. I now work for Somerset LA as a Somerset Education Partner, working with schools on their improvement plans. I have 3 children ranging from 10 to 13 years in age which I adopted with my partner 9 years ago. Iím interested in cooking for both family and friends, going to the theatre or cinema, reading for pleasure as well as professionally and starting to develop the art of digital photography
Charles Richardson

As a co-opted governor Iím responsible for the Finance and Premises Sub-committee. I have a background of management in both education and health service provision as well as experience in the private sector so feel I bring a range of skills and experiences to the role. Iím married with 3 grown up children all of whom attended Longvernal. Whilst my working week is very full, I relax by enjoying all sports and have a particular passion for sailing. Other interests include photography and music.
Gill Sutcliffe

Prior to my retirement, I was a teacher for 35 years. My teaching experience includes being Head Teacher of two schools. I would like to use my knowledge and experience to help the Longvernal school team as they work hard to provide an excellent education for the children. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, travelling and reading.
Angela Cowley
Clerk to Governors
I have just started working in the office at Longvernal. I previously worked in a school office for 9 years and a bank for 20 years. Iím married with 2 children, one in final year at University and the other attends Norton Hill 6th form. I enjoy travelling, theatre visits and walking the dog.
