At Longvernal Nursery we promote learning through play. We aim to create a happy, safe warm friendly environment, where children can explore, learn and grow and become confident active learners. We provide stimulating and creative activities both inside and out following the Early Years Development matters. We have free flow play to allow children to explore and follow their own individual interests.

We are big believers in outdoor learning and offer a free flow approach into the garden for all children. We love playing outside whatever the weather! Children love the outdoors not just for running but for climbing, balancing, problem solving and exploring the natural world. As well as our garden children have access to the playground, play park and large woodland areas within the school grounds. We offer forest school sessions to children in their preschool year. This allows them to become familiar with the area and provide a smooth transition into forest school ready for when they start school.
